〈2024-10-11〉Little Japan in Toronto

2024/10/11

Diary

After the class, I went to preview the room. This is because I have to leave my current homestay in November. Two Japanese people live in this house. I haven't spoken Japanese with strangers in a long time. I heard I must I should go with a friend for the preview so I went with my housemate. The room wasn't bad. It is a bacemant and smelled a little moldy according to her, but it was no problem because it was $600/month and fully furnished. The shower looked small haha.

After that, we went to a cafe, Chaveta Coffee. We visited there accidentally because she had a meeting to her own country and wanted to sit down somewhere. I ordered a cup of Sencha tea and she ordered a cappuccino. It was a bit expensive for me but it was great. In addition, a barista is very friendly.

And then, we visited to the Yonge-Dundas Square and met with our friend, two Brazilians and one Japanese. There are some Japanese stores, such as UNIQLO and MUJI. Stuffs which were selled in these stores are much expensive than in Japan, but I'm happy to see them. And we went to the Toronto Eaton Center. It was so huge and a lot of stores there. I didn't buy anything but I ate a snack wrap in MacDonald. I had never seen it, but I like it. It's cheaper than a hamburger and tasty.
