You know what? The owner of my part-time job contacted me and said "For the time being, working on Sundays only", so I didn't work today. Then, I contacted my colleague, who is a Japanese mother and came in after me, and she was told she should try working on Saturdays by herself. I wonder if they cut my shift because I made some mistakes. I try not to make the same mistakes again, but it is still difficult not to make mistakes at all. I don't want to get fired. If I only have one shift a week, my income is not enough at all. I have a plan to go to New York next week, but I don't want to go😿
By the way, I went ice-skating with a friend. I happened to lose today's job, but I'd been promising to go for a while. My friend lives outside Toronto and she was an hour late because she missed the train. In the meantime, I had to wait in line to borrow skates. There were so many people because rental skates are free on Saturday evening, so I waited almost the whole hour. I was very worried because I had heard that I need an ID like a passport and my friend on the train had forgotten it, but I was lucky because I was able to borrow two in exchange for my passport. I found out later that it was for collateral to return the rental skates, so she could use her phone instead of ID. The skating rink was very crowded. It was cold and there were no handrails because it was outdoors, so we both waddled around. I had skating experience, but she didn't and was afraid. After a few minutes we would be better. The rink was cleaned every hour, but there were so many people that the ice soon became scratched and hard to skate on. I think skating would probably be more enjoyable at other skating rinks than this one.
Afterwards, we both went to the nearby Tim Horton's with freezing. She bought me a hot chocolate to apologise for being late.
We had a proper nice time, but on the way home I was dwelling again, thinking about work.
