I didn't have work today, but I went to the restaurant where I work and the owner gave us a ride in his car and we all went to a pub to drink. By “everyone,” I mean the owner, three servers, my senior colleague and my friend and I. But when we got there, the owner's and my senior colleague's friends who are Filipino and Bangladeshi joined us, so we ended up drinking with six people. It was the first time in my life I had a shot. I don’t like strong-tasting alcohol, so I asked for a sweet one, but it was still strong and unpleasant.
By the time we crossed into the next day, we were all talking about World War II. Why do people start talking about world history when they drink?🤣 It was interesting to hear Canadian, Bangladeshi, Filipino, and Korean people passionately discussing Japanese history.
I took the bus on the way back because I didn't want to spend money. Halfway there I really needed to use washroom, so I wandered around and ended up rushing into McDonald's. As a result, I missed my bus connection and couldn't get home. I had no choice but to take the bus as close as possible and then use the car service that the owner recommended to get home. It was my first time using a car service. What a convenient world we live in.

It was the first time in my life I had a shot. I don’t like strong-tasting alcohol, so I asked for a sweet one—but even that was still strong and unpleasant.
