Today, one of the regulars at the ESL Café, a man from Osaka whom I met at ILAC Welcome Party, and I heard each other's Japanese for the first time haha. For the first six months since we met, we have always spoken in English. That's why I didn't know his thick Kansai dialect and he didn't know I use keigo which makes like a distance between us a little bit longer when I spoke Japanese. Since our nearest stations are same, we talked in Japanese a lot on the way home.
Check and Correct
Today, I attended the ESL Café again for the first time in a while. My friend, who I often went to the ESL Café with, is leaving Japan this week, so it was a bit emotional for me as well.
